Digital Foiling

Here at Perfect Print Co, we use a Digital foiling method which is different to the tradition foil stamping. Digital foil is completed when the image to be foiled is digitally printed and a special foil is used which adheres to the printed image. Digital Foil is best suited for short runs and variable data and although it looks virtually identical to traditional foil stamping, it removes the cost of having a “stamping die” manufactured which can cost anywhere upwards of $200 so this makes it a no brainer for our personalised books. 

 

Once you have placed your order and selected the books and colour foil you want applied, we will begin your design process. This involves separating the non foiled part of the design and having that printed first. A coating is then applied to protect that from the foiling process. Next, we will print your foiled design and apply the digital foiling process.
